Jewelry Care Instructions

Each piece by Panahon Designs is unique and require delicate handling. Avoid moisture and getting your jewelry wet for the best longevity of your jewelry. Certain materials and especially gold plating can tarnish over time when exposed to chemicals like the shower, pool, seawater, hairspray, perfume, and lotions. It is recommended to keep your jewelry away from the products as possible.

How do I take care of my jewelry?
We suggest you remove your jewelry while showering, swimming and exercising. Please avoid contact with perfumes, lotions or hair products as they contain chemicals and oils that can increase the wear on your pieces. Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, oil, jewelry cleaners, or polishing cloths, this can affect the finishing.


Can I shower or swim with my jewelry?
For best care, do not shower or swim with your items. Keep them in a cool dry place and remove before bathing.


My jewelry is turning color, why is this happening?
Every person’s unique skin-oils react differently to certain metals and plating. We are not responsible for your skin's reaction to our products. Gold plated jewelry will turn naturally over time, and there is no way to reverse this. You can prolong the life of your Panahon Designs pieces by following our care recommendations. 

What should I use to clean my jewelry?
For best cleaning we recommend using warm water and detergent-free soap then polish and dry with a jewelry safe cloth to avoid scratching.

 

My jewelry arrived damage, what do I do?
If your item arrives damaged please email panahondesigns@gmail.com within 72 hours of delivery with photos and your order #.
